10 ‘Salaam-E-Ishq’ (Salaam-E-Ishq) Music By Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy Performed By Sonu Nigam, Shreya Ghoshal, Kunal Ganjawala, Sadhna Sargam, Shankar Mahadevan
With so many different singers you would think the song might be a bit of a mess, but it is a masterful blending of all their voices and it also highlights each when they sing alone. It has a traditional beat but adds a western flavor that enhances the track.
9 ‘Aaja Nachle’ (Aaja Nachle) Music By Salim-Sulaiman Performed By Sunidhi Chauhan
Aaja Nachle has a mix of western and Indian beats that combine to make one truly great “I wish I could dance like Madhuri” song. The lyrics say “come dance”, and like the audience in the film, by the end you are dancing, you just can’t help it.
8 ‘Bhool Bhulaiyya’ (Bhool Bhulaiyya) Music By Pritam Performed By Neeraj Shridhar
The upbeat rhythm of the song will get your feet antsy to dance, and it is another song that will be stuck in your head for days. It has a mixture of English and Hindi lyrics that is sung wonderfully by Neeraj Shridhar. Bhool Bhulaiyaa is a song to get your groove on to, and many did since it hit number one on the charts!
7 ‘Deewangi Deewangi’ (Om Shanti Om) Music By Vishal Dadlani-Shekhar Ravjiani Performed By Shaan, Udit Narayan, Shreya Goshal, Sunidhi Chauhan, Rahul Saxena
This song was the talk of the town even before the movie came out because it was picturized on 30 superstars. This very peppy number perfectly complimented each star’s appearance. With its catchy lyrics, you can not help but sing along (with the stars too) especially in the part All the Hot Girls Say Om Shanti Ommmmmmm.
6 ‘Mauja Hi Mauja’ (Jab We Met) Music By Pritam Performed by Labh Janjua
Since I could say it no better I will quote my colleague Kamna’s review: “Mauja Hi Mauja is the kind of track where right from the start you know it’s a hit. ‘Bhangra’ beats, catchy to the core, with lyrics matching the mood and tempo make you want to get up and start dancing right then and there. The ‘dhol’ is a prominent fixture throughout the song and adds just the right element of a Punjabi feel”
