Actresses in Hindi cinema are known for shedding all inhibitions when partaking in intimate scenes. In the past, femme actresses including Kareena Kapoor, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Preity Zinta and so on, have all taken to the bolder bedroom scenes which of course, were shot aesthetically. While they may cause audiences, critics and censor boards to raise an eyebrow, more than often these scenes help the movie “progress” or are “integral” to the film’s script. Whatever the reason, scenes with close proximity help the publicity of the movie and tickets sales to increase.
However, Tusshar Kapoor is currently facing a brick wall when it comes to enacting some bedroom scenes with television superstar Prachi Desai. While shooting for their upcoming Life Partner, Kapoor found himself tackling with a “Don’t come close to me,” attitude from Desai. To her defense, Tusshar claimed, “She is just a 20-year-old girl yaar and a shy one at that.” While she never directly told Kapoor of her uneasiness, she made it evidently clear that she was not comfortable shooting such intimate scenes with him.
Director Rumi Jaffrey realized he would need to step in and create a more relaxed atmosphere for the couple. “He made us have some dinners together so that we could open up further with each other,” claimed Tusshar. While the final product will only be seen when Life Partner releases, one does wonder why the Rock On!! actress was so awkward with Tusshar? After all, she is known for being a regular at the Kapoor house and shares a close friendship with Ekta Kapoor, Tusshar’s sister.
Sources also claim that Tusshar tried to coax Prachi by telling her that on camera, “It was quite alright to get cozy and while the camera was off, she could behave however she wanted.” Will the couple look legit? We will only find out when the movie releases later this year. The film also stars Fardeen Khan, Genelia D’Souza and Govinda.
