Saturday 17th April saw the launch of the Bollywood Dance Championships 2010 (BDC), a talent contest in search for UK’s next Bollywood superstar and dancer in the making. Over 800 people turned up to audition and wow the Judges with their talent, from Belly Dancing to Bhangra, Hip-Hop to Salsa and Burlesque to Bollywood. They all came hoping to become the lucky finalist to win a role in a Bollywood film and premium tutelage from award winning Bollywood supremo Honey Kalaria. Honey Kalaria was recently a guest choreographer for the BBC show So You Think You Can Dance, co-judged an event with Brendan Cole from Strictly Come Dancing and has placed her students in projects such as It’s A Wonderful Afterlife, BBC Proms and blockbuster Bollywood film Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham.
