A gritty crime thriller titled Mandala Murders is the newest digital series from Yash Raj Entertainment! Created & directed by Gopi Puthran of Mardaani 2 fame, the edge-of-the-seat series will star Vaani Kapoor as the lead, along with Vaibhav Raj Gupta (of the hugely acclaimed show Gullak fame).
Vaani Kapoor, who won hearts for her brilliant and sensitive performance as a transgender girl in Abhishek Kapoor’s Chandigarh Kare Aashiqui, is set to once again get fully into character in the show, which marks her foray into OTT. About her excitement to be the star of the show, she wrote on social media, “Going in for the KILL (literally) for my debut OTT show!! 🔪🩸🙃 Thrilled to be helming @YRFEnt’s new series #MandalaMurders – a gritty crime thriller that will keep you guessing! 🔍”
The big-budget show will encompass a vast canvas filmed on a grand scale across five different cities in India. Mandala Murders is currently shooting for about a month in Uttar Pradesh. In UP, the team will shoot in the picturesque Prayagraj, Lucknow & Varanasi. They will continue the schedule in Delhi and then on to Mumbai to finish the filming process.

Yash Raj Films (YRF) aims to produce some of the best content in the digital platform space that India has ever seen. Under the banner YRF Entertainment, Mandala Murders, is its second OTT show. This multi-season show is a part of YRF’s OTT slate that already comprises the much-awaited The Railway Men, based on the deadly 1984 Bhopal Gas Tragedy. This series features R Madhavan, Kay Kay Menon, Divyendu, and Babil Khan in the lead roles and is a tribute to the brave railway workers who saved scores of lives on this ill-fated night of devastation and horror.
