Yes, even Sanjay Leela Bhansali needs a woman in his life. Especially after that debacle Saawariya! Before I get more evil, let’s get to the point. Over the last few months, Bhansali had gotten close to popular choreographer Vaibhavi Merchant (Dhol Bhaje, Aaja Nachle, Dil Haara, Kajra Re, etc.) and the two decided they were willing to take their friendship further.
However, both Bhansali and Merchant neither supported or denied the rumours of their link-up. Recently, Vaibhavi has opened up slightly and vaguely admitted that the relationship is over. She told Mumbai Mirror, “There was this person I wanted to meet and get to know better. We met, but when we got to know each other better, we realised that we were two very strong individuals who were meant to be independent and better off as friends.” We’re assuming that ‘person’ is Bhansali.
However, she is very optimistic, and says, “Sanjay and I had hoped that something would work out between us. We gave it a try, but it didn’t happen.” Well, we hope Vaibhavi finds her very own ‘Devdas’ soon enough!
