Varun Dhawan who is all set for his next, Main Tera Hero, which is being produced by Ekta Kapoor and directed by his father David Dhawan, has hit the gym and is working out extensively to get a leaner look for his role in the film.
Ask Varun about this and he says, “I’ve been doing a lot of mixed martial arts training and light weight training. My trainer Prashant, who also trains Shah Rukh Khan and Ajay Devgn, has put me on a completely new diet and workout regime.”
Varun adds that he has been training for two months and has another two to go. The actor’s new look is supposedly very depective. “If you see me with a T-shirt on, you won’t think I am fit. That’s the whole point of it,” he says.
The movie, which goes on floors this June, will see Varun do action scenes as well. He says, “I’ve been training to get more flexible as well. I don’t want to use a body double. I want to do it myself because I’ve always enjoyed action. It’s a complete change from my first film, even though I play a college student this time as well.”
