Golden words, and Vijay Deverakonda should repeat them as many times as he can every day for the rest of his life.
We undersand he has movie to promote. We also understand he is desperate for a hit. But what he must understand is that we are living in volatile times, more so than ever before. Every word uttered in public, especially by a public figure, must be measured, and measured repeatedly.
Vijay’s remarks comparing the savagery at Pahalgam to tribal wars is way out of line. To no one’s surprise it has got him into serious trouble.
What is his qualification to comment on an issue so sensitive it has shaken the nation’s conscience? A brainless contrived film called Kushi which was set in Kashmir?
In 2023, the unstoppable Kajol was only trying to sound wiser than she actually is, when she put her foot in her mouth by saying this country’s politicians “do not have an educational system(sic.) background”.
She broke Rule No 1 for all film promotion: do not comment on politics or religion.
This is what all stars are told when they go out to promote their film. Kajol of course being Kajol , doesn’t listen to anyone’s advice.
