Vikrant Massey Lashes Back

The publicity machinery in Bollywood seems to be working overtime. Actors desperate to be noticed are not only putting out flattering stories about themselves, they are also running down reputed actors in the process.

Hence when a media portal reported that the little-known Raghav Juyal had replaced Vikrant Massey in a minor role in Namit Malhotra’s The Ramayan, Vikrant couldn’t take the insult lying down.

He wrote in his Instagram account, “”OK. To put things to rest, I was never a part of this movie. Am not, never was. Such irresponsible media coverage from “respectable” media houses is kinda appalling. Nonetheless, wishing everyone on Ramayana all the very best. Will surely buy a ticket and watch it in cinemas.”

While Vikrant refrained from any further comment a source close to the actor said, “It’s okay if upcoming actors want to project themselves in a flattering light. But to show another actor in an unflattering light is just not acceptable. It is highly unethical. Inn logon ko sharm nahin hai (these people have no shame).”
