The end of the year brings the glamorous awards and the grand award functions, and the sizzling Deepika Padukone has reportedly been asked by the firms organizing these events to perform on her infamous ‘Angrezi Beat’ from Cocktail.
Apparently, the organizers are in talks with the actress to perform on the song and also want to recreate the setting of the film on stage. She may also be seen donning the same avatar as the song sequence for the performance. Dippy’s role as the wild Veronica in Cocktail was much appreciated by one and all.
But Dippy has a very blocked schedule and has back to back releases in 2013 which include Yeh Jawani Hai Deewani, Ram Leela, Chennai Express and Kochadaiyaan. This is mainly why the deal with the award function organizers hasn’t been fixed yet as she really needs to make time for it if she takes it up.
Dippy’s official spokesperson said that she has indeed been approached for the performance but she still needs to work out her dates so it is not fixed yet. Well, we hope we get to see Deepika groove to the classy number and make her fans fall in love with her versatility all over again!
