On Wednesday, we got our first look of the out of this world trailer for Shirish Kunder’s Joker. It certainly got the tweets a flying with praise and excitement for the film that stars Akshay Kumar, Sonakshi Sinha, Shreyas Talpade and Minissha Lamba! One of the things that intrigued us, besides the big green aliens, is that the trailer for Joker has a line saying – “When being Human doesn’t work, try BEING ALIEN!”. Of course. our radar went off because “Being Human” is Salman Khan’s brand and the name for his charity. Apparently Shirish showed Salman the trailer and the actor approved the use of Being Human in this cool way.

Shirish says, “It is my dedication to Salman. He was in my first film (Jaan-e-maan) and now I’m directing him again in Kick so I wanted his association in Joker too in some way. In Joker, the reference is that to get Paglapur in spotlight Akshay had to create a tamasha with aliens. When he approached the issue in a straightforward way, he couldn’t do anything. So, the line says to get attention you need do so something outlandish even if it means getting aliens for help. I told Salman about it and he has liked it. He found it really funny.”

Joker is UTV Motion Pictures next offering, which is set to release worldwide on 31st August.
