The Filmfare Awards took place in B’town at the weekend and the prestigious event saw the likes of Rekha, Sridevi, Madhuri Dixit, Deepika Padukone and Priyanka Chopra walk the red carpet.
We of course kept our eyes on the red carpet to see what the stars where wearing and whether it made the mark. Most actresses opted for gowns with some opting for Indian attire, whilst the actors played it safe with a black suit.
See who worked their looks and looked hot and who unfortunately did not……
Siddharth Roy Kapur looks good in his simple black suit. As for wife Vidya Balan, nice to see her try something a little bit different and the actress works it well.
Verdict – Siddharth Roy Kapur and Vidya Balan are HOT!
Ali Zafar works his simple suit well.
Verdict – Ali Zafar is Not Hot!
Alia Bhatt looks nice but I do not like her outfit. The colour is quite vampy and does nothing for the young actress.
Verdict – Alia Bhatt is Not Hot!
Amrita Rao looks ok but her dress is terrible. The white gown is boring and tacky and the costume style jacket adds to the tack factor.
Verdict – Amrita Rao is Not Hot!
I do like Chitrangda Singh’s red carpet look. It is completely different and the actress works it well. I do like her hairstyle and accessories that compliment the look well.
Verdict – Chitrangda Singh is Hot!
Deepika Padukone works this Prabal Gurang gown nicely. She finishes of the look well with statement red lips.
Verdict – Deepika Padukone is HOT!
Dia Mirza looks a bit washed out in this gown, not a fan of this on her at all. Sahil Sangha works his simple suit, boring but it looks ok.
Verdict – Dia Mirza is Not Hot!
Evelyn Sharma looks nice, I do like her hair and makeup but the outfit choice lets her down. I gather that the model/actress was trying to be a bit different but it really does not work.
Verdict – Evelyn Sharma is Not Hot!
Ileana D’cruz works this flapper esque Roberto Cavalli dress nicely. I do like her hair and accessories that compliment the dress well. Ileana could have finished off the look perfectly by adding some red lipstick instead of the nude colour she opted for.
Verdict – Ileana D’cruz is HOT!
Not a fan of Madhuri Dixit’s gown choice. Sequins are a difficult one to get correct and can often look tacy, and this is the case with this gown. The shape of the gown and colour does nothing for Madhuri either. Hubby’s suit is not that flattering either, he needs to get a better-fitted trouser.
Verdict – Madhuri Dixit and Sriram are Not Hot!
Minisha Lamba should have opted for something a bit younger as this looks ages the actress and washes her out.

Neha Dhupia looks nice and I do like her hairpiece but the Victoria Beckham is so unflattering.

Not a fan of Parineeti Chopra’s gown, which looks like it could do with a good steam to get rid of those creases. Apart from that it is a boring dress that does nothing for the actress.

Priyanka Chopra works her hair and makeup and looks nice, however I cannot say the same about her Armani Prive gown. The gown is not flattering on the actress and it quite boring.

Ranveer Singh works his black suit well.
Verdict – Ranveer Singh is Hot!
Raveena Tandon should have opted for a different sari as this one is dated and does not looks good. Not a fan of Raveena’s hair and make up either.

Rekha looks nice but I am not a fan of her sari colour as it swamps the actress. Rekha ji should have opted for something with a bit more colour.

Sharman Joshi works his navy suit but I am not a fan of his wife Prerna’s tacky green dress. The green colour is awful and the dress looks like a piece of fabric thrown on her. As for the shoes and handbag, they add to the tack factor!

Siddharth Malhotra works his bowtie and suit well.
Verdict – Siddharth Malhotra is Hot!
Sonali Bendre looks lovely and works her Manish Malhotra outfit well, if you ignore those red shoes! Her husband Goldie Behl works his suit well.
Verdict – Sonali Bendre and Goldie Behl are HOT!
Boney Kapoor looks ok in his suit. As for Sridevi, she looks nice but the Alberta Ferretti gown does nothing for the actress. The colour is a bit too loud on the actress and overpowers her.
Verdict – Sridevi is Not Hot!
Not a fan of this dress on Tanisha Mukherjee, it does nothing and looks a bit cheap!

I am not a fan of Manish Malhotra’s suit, it is not very flattering, I would have expected better from the designer. Urmila Matondkar opts for a Manish Malhotra anarkali and I am not a fan of the colour on the actress. The fluorescent pink looks a bit tacky and the matching lipstick does nothing for the actress either.
Verdict – Manish Malhotra and Urmila Matondkar are Not Hot!
Varun Dhawan works his velvet suit nicely. I do like that he has opted for something different and got it right!
