A Wednesday!
The night also had some controversy with the war of words between Ashutosh Gorwariker and Sajid Khan on stage. The director got offended by one of the jokes Sajid made and said something to him on stage and it escalated from there, with Ashutosh saying shut up to Sajid and Sajid responding, “’kisika baap bhi mujhe shut up nahi bol sakta!’”
Another surprise was that though Akshay Kumar was voted as Best Actor in Popular Category (Male)he refused the award saying, “According to me, the best actor is Aamir Khan for Ghajini. This is for you Aamir, from me and the people.” He left the trophy on the stage.
You can see all the performances, the controversies and all the winning speeches when the award show is televised on Star on January 27th!
