It is for the third time that Arjun Rampal is coming together with Kareena Kapoor for a film, and he is nothing less than very happy about it.
Arjun and Kareena worked together in We Are Family, where she played his girlfriend and later his wife and in Ra.One, where Arjun was the villain. But in Heroine, their pairing is going to be Madhur Bhandarkar style and completely different from their previous roles.
The actor very enthusiastically exclaims that the chemistry he is sharing with Kareena for Heroine is totally different in every way.
“Coming together with Kareena is so nostalgic. We really have always gelled and loved each other’s company and I am friendly with Saif as well,” he said. Arjun also said that he has loved the way Kareena has pulled off the role of Mahi and actually done justice to it as it was indeed a very challenging role. He also said that Kareena is ‘superb’ as Mahi.
As the name of the movie suggests, Heroine would mean a movie surrounding the life of the heroine and that made Arjun a little hesitant to sign it at first, as he could not clearly gauge what exactly would a man’s role be in such a film. But however, he was eventually very happy with the way his role which is that of a superstar has come out to be. “Madhur and I really wanted to work together and Heroine was just the right thing to do then,” he added.
Arjun says that the role of a superstar made him actually observe certain behaviour of people and formulate his personality accordingly. “You will see a lot of people in my character in the film, out of which some are mine and some are not,” he grinned.
In a recent interview, Madhur Bhandarkar was asked why aren’t Arjun and Randeep present for the promotions of Heroine to which Madhur said that they are the ‘surprise elements’ in the film. He also claimed that post release; everyone would want Arjun and Randeep’s interviews more than anyone.
Heroine is all set to release this Friday with Randeep Hooda, Divya Dutta and Ranvir Shorey starring as well. Watch out for some great performance!
