Milind Dhaimade’s directorial debut feature, Tu Hai Mera Sunday (You Are My Sunday) will have a World Premiere at the prestigious 60th BFI London Film Festival, as part of the festival’s Love Gala on 15th- -16th October.
Depicting a story about 5 recreational footballers and their everyday struggle in Mumbai, the film will also have its India Premiere at the Jio MAMI’s 18th Mumbai Film Festival, 2016 in the competition category, India Gold, which screens the best of Indian films from across the country.
Produced by Varun Shah, the movie features an ensemble cast, including TV star Barun Sobti (Star TV’s hit show Is Pyar Ko Kya Naam Doon) along with Shahana Goswami, Rasika Dugal, Avinash Tiwari, Vishal Malhotra, and Maanvi Gagroo.
Excited with this news, writer-director Milind says, “A film about middle class Indian guys looking for space in Mumbai, finds a spot at the prestigious BFI London Film Festival. This is how happy endings begin.”
The director’s emotions were echoed by the lead actor of the film, Barun Sobti, who said, “This film has been made with the love for the times we live in. It’ll tell you have to fight for them.”
