In case you’re wondering if Zarine Khan has been cast in the remake of Magadheera, which happens to be a film about reincarnation, then let us stop you from developing that idea any further. We’re not talking about punar janm/reincarnation of her life but rather her career.
The much-hyped debut in Salman Khan’s Veer was one of the worst possible debuts a newcomer could have gotten. It was because of the hype that people were so greatly disappointed, granted the fault was not hers but rather of Salman’s writing. She went onto to complete disappear from the radar with critics and audiences hurling a world of insults at her.
Although for now, the actress may just have a second chance in the industry and once again it is Salman to the rescue. The actor, who should feel responsible for the miserable career Zarine has, has hooked Zarine up as the item girl in his upcoming film Ready.
Considering the most talked about people of 2010 were Munni and Sheila, it’s natural to assume that a item number could just be the push a girl’s career needs.
Ready, which is the remake of the Telugu blockbuster of the same name, has Salman and Asin in lead roles. Zarine’s item number is said to have been shot in Bangkok and has Salman in the song. Raju Khan and Mudassar Khan are the two choreographers taking the challenge to beat Farah Khan at her own game.
Unfortunately for the actress, one of the most widely received criticisms was regarding her figure, which many classified to be ‘chubby’. So it would be interesting to see how Zarine opts to reform herself for this item number, that is, if she’ll be reforming herself at all.
For now there’s no doubt the actress was written off way too quickly and deserves a second chance. Whether this item song is the appropriate second chance is another story all together. Come this June and we’ll have answers to all those questions.
