India’s flagship music company Saregama India Ltd launched the music of UTV Spotboy’s film No One Killed Jessica in the Bigg Boss’s house on Friday, December 24, 2010. The launch was attended by none other than the host of the show – Salman Khan and the cast of No One Killed Jessica Rani Mukherjee and Vidya Balan.
The promos of ‘No One Killed Jessica‘ have been very well received by all. Touching upon a sensitive issue, the promos show the passion/aggression and strength that the movie holds. The music has been equally exciting, and very much different. The cutting edge Music is upbeat and in perfect sync with the movie itself.
The prodigy Amit Trivedi, has done a fabulous job as always. With his unique sounds and understanding of music he has the ability to make music that acts as a connecting path between the audience and the movie. Two songs from the film have already had their promos launched and are buzzing with energy amongst the listeners. Giving his trademark “punch” to all the tracks, he has dazzled everyone with the song “Dilli”, and the energy of the song by itself gets everyone even more eager to watch the movie. The other song whose promo has been aired is “Aali Re”. “Aali Re” has gotten everyone smirking as well as grooving, and with the ‘bindaas‘ and feisty nature of the song, there is no doubting its success.
Said Adarsh Gupta, Music Head, Saregama India ltd, “The music of the film is simply outstanding. Its unique while being contemporary at the same time and is very energetic and young. There has already been a lot of positive response to the promo of the song “Aali Re” that is on air. The music launch in the Bigg Boss house will definitely target the right audience. The show is extremely popular amongst the younger audience which gels extremely well with the film’s music.”
As per Mr. Amit Bahl, Chief Creative Officer, UTV, “Amit Trivedi has proven time and again that he knows the pulse of his audiences – Aamir, Dev D, Udaan, Iktara from Wake Up Sid, Aisha n No One Killed Jessica. He gives music that the youth of this country wants to listen to, at this young age and early stage in his career he has achieved what very few composers have. With No One Killed Jessica, Amit has reached a new height, considering the sensitivities of the subject, he has done full justice with each song depicting the mood of that moment – the songs range from melody to rock making the album a complete package”
