Till date fans crave to see another glimpse of the handsome hunk who stole their hearts as the brooding and emotionally unavailable Karan Singhania in Rakesh Omprakash Mehra’s masterpiece blockbuster Rang De Basanti. But Siddharth definitely is not bugging from his loyalty to the Telugu film industry where he reigns as the ultimate chocolate hero and the king of family dramas. Titles that perhaps his North Indian fans may be surprised to know of.

Speaking in reference to why the disappearance and no signing spree after his imminent success in Hindi cinema the actor says, “I have always been extra careful about my Bollywood films.” And at the slightest mention of his upcoming Hindi film he perks up and declares, “It’s an exciting concept and will be a realistic sporting film.”

Whilst away from his Hindi speaking audience, the actor faced countless media bashes on several topics. The most prominent of them all was his habit or trend of working with only debutant directors in the Telugu film industry which was touted as being his special way to gain extra control on a film. Speaking on the issue to Times of India the actor explained, “The media rakes up such issues. I have had no problems with any of my directors so far. We always have a healthy discussion for the betterment of the film. See, there are two types of actors — some prefer to religiously follow the director, while others get involved with the project. I belong to the second category.” Speaking in reference to the accusations of only working with debutant directors to gain control the actors says, “Not really. I can relate to young ideas and they match my energy levels besides wavelength.”

Although he may only have one Hindi release in the horizon, the talented heartthrob is all set to break his rule of one movie at a time and is taking on board four consecutive releases within the next two years. “I intend to explore varied genres but I will divulge the details later,” he says.

Now to the million dollar question, what about all those Soha Ali Khan rumours. Are they together or not? “No comments” is all the actor has to say and politely states that speaking about his personal life is highly uncomfortable for him.

Well you may not have gotten a straight answer for the last question but the actor definitely is not aloof from all the media frenzy around his working habits and has at last set the record straight. That too for once and for all, we hope. Here’s wishing the actor all the very best for what promises to be two of the most hectic years in his working career coming right up!
