Daler Mehndi files law suit agianst Yash Raj Films

While the title track, “Jhoom” of Yash Raj’s latest production is landing at #1 on charts all over, there seems to be a bit of a problem. Actually, a big problem.

As we reported earlier, the song was initially sung by Daler Mehndi and later re-sung by Shankar Mahadevan. Mehndi was unaware that the song was re-recorded until the album released a couple weeks back and he did not see his name featured on the CD. Forget his name, his version of the song wasn’t even there!

Mehndi has decided to take action. He has sent a legal notice to Yash Chopra citing “criminal breach of trust”. He is also seeking an apology within 15 days.

It’ll be interesting to see how this JBJ controversy progresses!
