It was an exceptionally healthy Tuesday morning start for the local journos at a Spa in Mumbai, where they had assembled for the promotional campaign of leading breakfast cereal brand Kellogg’s ‘Special K’ with its newly chosen brand ambassador actress Lara Dutta. In a first-of-its-kind innovative campaign organized by Kellogg’s, press was invited to breakfast and an impromptu yoga session with Lara’s trainer from Canada, Tonia Clark (who is also responsible for helping in compiling Lara’s Yoga DVD).
The event started with Tonia performing couple easy to do Yoga exercises with enthusiastic volunteers from the gathered reporters joining her in the activity.
Up next Vikram Bahl, marketing director of Kellogg’s, made a presentation where he spoke about the Kellogg’s meal being the choice of today’s women, he further went on to reason out and elaborate on the choice of Lara for their brand. The Kellogg’s ad featuring Lara was played for the media.
Beaming as bright as the Mumbai morning sun, Lara entered the venue with a cheerful ‘good morning’ followed by a brief photo-op while Lara gleefully posed with a box of Kellogg’s. Post which, she settled down immediately for a Q&A session with the press, questions ranging from her usual morning schedules, to her workout regimes to her valentines plans as well as details on her impending marriage to Tennis star Mahesh Bhupathi in February, which she answered with exuberance and tact.
Another round of photos later, she gave short bytes to the media and upon request conveyed her Republic day wishes. Before closing the event, she invited the gathered audience to head towards the breakfast counter laden with juices, snacks and of course, ‘Special K’ cereal, but not before munching on her own bowl of cereal while making her way out of the venue to her waiting car.
