‘Gulfisha’ was another highlight of the album for both of us…

I was so happy to hear Sunidhi in this, I hate when composers use the same voice over and over because the tracks end up sounding the same to me. This is another one of the higher points of the album because the lyrics are really catchy, innovative and the music is different too. I think Sunidhi was the perfect choice for this song, there’s something eerie about her voice that I love and I think suits the track and more importantly, the film, perfectly. Your thoughts, Stacey?

‘Gulfisha’, for me, was a track that had a lot going on it in musically, but it all fit together to make a fabulous song. In this track, Rahman composed a lot of new sounds and new instrumentations but they all worked. The song is just too cool. Sunidhi’s voice is perfect and her range is quite incredible, and I am still wondering how she hit that high note. I really liked the beginning with Viviane Chaix’s voice; because of her voice and the sound of the lyrics, I think she was singing in French. However, Aly will have to tell me whether she was or not. The addition of Sonu’s voice was also brilliant. With incredible singers and such interesting music, ‘Gulfisha’ is another triumph!

Yes, it was French! Viviane Chaix has a lovely voice; that was a nice touch.
