The countdown is on for the action drama with a thrilling twist, Raid 2, set to hit hard when it releases on the big screen on 1st May 2025.
Raid 2, which delves into the world of high-stakes investigations and the relentless pursuit of truth, was directed by Raj Kumar Gupta. A high-intensity action drama that blends realism with reel-ism, paints a detailed portrait of the officers who risk everything for the greater good, shedding light on the psychological, emotional, and moral toll of their missions.
Set against India’s evolving economic landscape, Raid 2 sees the return of the fiercely principled IRS officer Amay Patnaik and his dedicated team. This time, the investigation leads them deep into a labyrinth of shell companies, political interference, and powerful white-collar criminals whose reach extends beyond borders and into the highest corridors of power.
As we said, Ajay returns to his character from the original Raid, Amay Patnaik, an honest and determined income tax officer who isn’t afraid to take on the rich and powerful. This time, he is taking on dark money, political corruption, and tax evasion, and he won’t stop until he solves the case. Joining the cast is Riteish Deshmukh, in a striking new avatar as a formidable adversary. Riteish Deshmukh, who completely loses himself, plays the character of the cunning and influential politician Dadabhai. The actors spark off each other and steal the focus in a battle of wills that plays out Raid 2, and we can’t wait!
Raid 2 also features Vaani Kapoor, Rajat Kapoor, and Saurabh Shukla. The investigation will begin on May 1st!
