Paa, starring Amitabh Bachchan, Abhishek Bachchan and Vidya Balan is currently shooting in Delhi at the Delhi Metro. The filming was kept under-wraps because Papa Bachchan’s look in the film is top secret, only thing known is that it takes 5 hours for him to get in makeup. Big B wrote on his blog, “Yes!! I have travelled to Delhi. We shoot here for Paa, Abhishek and I. And I have to be up at 2:30 am to start my prosthetics for the shoot to start by 7 AM!!”
He went on to write, “There were several locations that were exploited. And shifting and changing almost clandestinely in order not to expose the face of prosthetic proportions. I think we succeeded. But what a bother to hide for fear of someone that shall let out the look of the character. I sometimes wonder whether those that pursue the desire to give out the look of a film, ever wonder that we are desperately trying to keep this confidential and private till the release. For us the release of the face is detrimental to our business and our film. For them it is a moment of great conquest when they will be able to release the visual. When will they understand that what may be a triumph for them, is really a curse for us.”
Paa directed by R Balki not only has the intriguing “face of prosthetic proportions”, it is also rumored that Amitabh is actually playing Abhishek’s son. We will keep an eye out for more on this interesting film and will be sure to keep you up to date!
