Anupam Kher’s acting has always been appreciated with his varied roles and outstanding performances. Now the Hollywood Reporter has also recognized his talent and mentioned Anupam Kher in the list of the five best actors in Asia.

The 57-year-old actor shared this happiness with his Twitter-family. “Happy to share. Hollywood Reporter in its latest issue has listed me among the five best actors in Asia. I am the only Indian. Jai Ho!.”

He goes on to add: “Other four actors are – Li BingBing (China), Lee Byung-Hun (South Korea), Iko Uwais (Thailand) and Aaron Kwok (Hong Kong).”

Kher, who made his acting debut back in 1982 with the film Aagman, got recognition when he played the role of a 60-year old in the film Saaransh when he was only 28 years young. After all these years, this is one performance of Kher, which is engraved in the minds of movie lovers. In his career Kher has donned many roles in commercial cinema (Tezaab, Veer Zaara, Kuch Kuch Hota Hai and many others) varying from comedy to villians to being the lovable father in love stories, but at the same time was also seen in off-beat films like Daddy, A Wednesday and Maine Gandhi Ko Nahin Maara.

This year the actor will be seen next to Bradley Cooper, Jennifer Lawrence and Robert De Niro in David O. Russell’s Silver Linings Playbook where he is playing the role of a psychiatrist.
