Arjun Rampal fans certainly have lots to look forward too in the coming year, not only will they see him in the drama Raajneeti on June 4th, but also on his movie slate is the Stepmom remake, Don 2 and Ra.One with Shah Rukh Khan. He is currently shooting on the sets of Ra.One and from his posts on twitter we think he is going to be playing the bad guy opposite SRK’s superhero.

His first tweet about the film said, “Its official 1st day of shoot at RA 1. Trust me this one will shock the world.” Adding a bit later, “Going to the shoot. RA 1 in the house. Manic action. Manic look. Pushing the envelope yet again. Love”

Seems Ra.One will be full of action and that he and SRK battle it out in the film. SRK tweeted, “Arjun makes the action look so good. Arjun looks awesome in the film. I am scared of his wife my dear friend. If he doesn’t look good Meher will beat me up so have to make sure.” To which Arjun replied, “thank you, it is always a pleasure to work with you….having tooo much fun. This action will be memorable. We both very bruised.”

Even with it being early days into the schedule, Arjun is very happy with the experience so far, “RA 1 is an experience one used to dream of, and hope one can do someday, well that is in the process of becoming a reality. The team is just Fantastic, so professional have never felt so safe while doing some crazy action, everything is so well thought out, an absolute pleasure… Srk is in top form, his energy levels just seem to rise from film to film, see him doing all kind of jobs, his visual sense is remarkable… Feel fortunate to learn so much.”

Finally tweeting, “Haven’t had so much fun doing action in a long time.”

But, before we get to see Arjun in his super evil suit, we will see him take on the role of a politician in Prakash Jha’s Raajneeti. Arjun says the film is a look at politics in a realistic way, but that it is also commercial, edge-of-the-seat entertainer.

About his role in the film Arjun told Screen Weekly, “I play Prithvi, who is like Bhim (from the Mahabharat). He is a large-hearted guy who loves to live life to the fullest. Ranbir is a very quiet guy. The film is based on a family feud and what happens when two people get obsessed after getting power in your hands.”

Adding that playing the role was difficult; “I had to work on my body language, speech and dialogues delivery and how to conduct myself in public. I also observed many politicians. It was a larger-than-life character. Director Prakash Jha has studied politics and has fought elections. So he imparted a lot of knowledge on the issue. He had so much to share. As for my look, Jha did not let me cut my hair as he wanted me to have a wild look.”

He has also tweeted about the film; saying the cast really bonded on the set and calling co-star Ranbir Kapoor his younger brother. He tweets he is proud to be part of films like Raajneeti, “Less than a month to go for the film really looking fwd to seeing it soon. It was so amazing while filming for it, just waiting, to see how Prakash Jha has put it all together a tough and ambitious film to make. So nice to see and be a part of films like this.”

We are looking forward to seeing Raajneeti too when it releases on June 4th. Along with Arjun Rampal and Ranbir Kapoor, the film also stars Ajay Devgn, Manoj Bajpai, Nana Patekar, Naseeruddin Shah and Katrina Kaif.
