Ashtavinayak Cine Vision, the company that recently signed both Kareena Kapoor and Upen Patel, has signed versatile actor Arshad Warsi to a 3-film deal.

“The three films deal with genres like romance, action and thriller drama and will be made over a couple of years. We will decide on the scripts and directors mutually,” said Warsi.

Warsi is also going to be working on Golmaal Returns for Ashtavinayak, but this is not part of the 3-film deal. Rohit Roy is directing the film, also starring Ajay Devgan, Tusshar Kapoor, Shreyas Talpade, Kareena Kapoor and Anjana Sukhnani.

Warsi commented on the film saying, “Golmaal Returns has absolutely no connection with the first film. I play a cop in the film and it’s not a sequel in that sense.”

Besides developing and deciding about his new films for this deal, Warsi also has these other films in the pipeline: Ashok Thakeria’s Dhamaal, directed by Indra Kumar; Anil Kapoor’s Shortcut, Leena Yadav’s Teen Patti, Vivek Agnihotri’s Goal and maybe Rajkumar Hirani’s Munnabhai Chale Amrika.

Looks like Warsi will be busy for a long time to come and we are excited to see his performances in each of these movies and the ones to come!
