1. Shahrukh Khan – My Name is Khan
It takes the superstar only one film this year to win our hearts and land up in the number one slot of this countdown! Just when you thought King Khan was not living up to his name he reminds us all that anything is possible when it comes to him. The audiences were forever in doubt about, My Name is Khan since the last time KJo and SRK combined we’d had to bare a Kabhi Alvida Na Kehna Thankfully nothing as such happened this year! SRK shined as Rizwaan Khan and added a new iconic line to his long list of memorable dialogues “My Name is Khan, and I’m not a terrorist”. Salutes to the King and here’s to more legendary years of cinema and more number one positions in our countdowns!
Of course ten positions can never justify the brilliant performance from a whole twelve months of amazing cinema. For that sole reason ‘special mentions’ is a must in all our countdowns. For best actors we have to mention the all around entertainer Riteish Deshmukh who showed off his serious side in Rann and wowed us all. The Ishqiya duo consisting of Naseerudin Shah and Arshad Warsi also deserve a mention for being their rocking and their raw selves in the film. As does Manoj Bajpai for his mind-blowing performance in Raajneeti. And so with those mentions we conclude our Best Actors countdown for 2010! Until next year, have fun at the movies!
