Best of the Best, which celebrates the vibrancy of Bollywood fusion dance Coming to Netflix

A new dance themed series with a Bollywood take has been announced and the unique concept has fans wanting to know more. Featuring Never Have I Ever star Maitreyi Ramakrishnan (Freakier Friday) along with Priyanka Kedia (Everything To Me) and Hasan Minhaj (Patriot Act with Hasan Minhaj) the upcoming dance-based comedy film, Best of the Best, is set to release on Netflix September 18.

Best of the Best celebrates the vibrancy of Bollywood fusion dance, the growing pains of young adulthood, and the lasting power of friendship. Dance teams have emerged as a space for South Asian community building and cultural connection on many college campuses. Best of the Best will follow two childhood best friends, Maya (Ramakrishnan) and Anjali (Kedia), who join their college’s competitive Bollywood dance team only to discover that the road to winning the national championship is far more raucous and cutthroat than they ever imagined.
