Bodyguard, starring Salman Khan and Kareena Kapoor, is one of the biggest hits of the year 2011. Director Siddique is more than happy with his Hindi debut as a director and is now ready to get back to work on his next.
After the huge success of Bodyguard, offers from several big banners started coming in for Siddique, but he refused all of them. Why? Because he had already made a commitment with producers Shyam Bajaj and Narendra Bajaj.
When Bodyguard was being shot last year, Bajaj was looking for a good director. He enquired about Siddique. “I asked Salman about Siddique and since he was happy about the way Bodyguard was shaping up, he told me I should work with him,” said Shyam Bajaj.
And Siddique kpt his word.He told all the producers that he wanted to first fulfill his prior commitment of making a film with Bajaj and only then he will start looking at other offers. “It was nice of Salman to recommend me to them, I immediately agreed. I also had to keep my word and I am happy that I will be directing a film for them. There is no doubt that it will be a commercial entertainer,” said Siddique.
