It looks like the season of fashion and fashion shows has arrived in full swing. With quite a many fashion weeks to be seen coming soon in the following months, the IIJW has its fashion week – it’s second since inception – this week. Inaugurated on Sunday, 31st, at Grand Hyatt by Shri Subodh Kant Sahai, Hon’ble Minister of Tourism, Govt. Of India and Bollywood’s own fashion icon and IIJW Brand Ambassador Sonam Kapoor, the opening of this jewellery fashion week also saw the presence of many celebrities from the filmy world as well as the small screen for the first show. Supporting a very noble cause of female feoticide, the first show presented by Gitanjali along with Queenie for Giantti, Nizam and Envi was launched by Anu Ranjan co-publisher of GR8 and President of the Indian Television Academy and supported by the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA). Clothesline designed by Neeta Lulla and Pria Kataria Puri, the show saw a host of stars walk down the ramp with their daughters.
