January 29th, 6:00 pm and this reporter found herself at the Yash Raj studios, Andheri with a VIP pass to the most popular Bollywood awards – the Filmfare awards. With the who’s who of the industry turning up for the award show, it was no surprise that the 56th Idea Filmfare award night turned out to be a starry night with enough glamour and glitz to keep you entertained the whole night! The celebrity list who attended the show is pretty huge with a hoard of stars, superstars and megastars who managed to make themselves available for this high profile event – Amitabh Bachchan, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Shahrukh Khan and Gauri Khan, Karan Johar with mom Hiroo, Ranbir Kapoor and Imraan Khan, Yash Raj, Bappi Lahiri, Neha Dhupia, Arshad Warsi with wife Maria, Raveena Tandon, Ranveer Singh and Anushka, Anu Malik, Kalki Koechlin, Subhash Ghai, Isha Khopikar, Pratheik Babbar, Priyanka Chopra, Kajol, Sonakshi Sinha with parents Shatrugan and Poonam, Chunky Pandey,Farah Khan, Urmila Matondkar, Hrithik and Sussan Roshan, R. Madhavan with his wife, Malaika Arora Khan and Arbaaz Khan, Katrina Kaif with her sister Isabella, the gorgeous Rekha, Vidya Balan, Rani Mukherjee, Preity Zinta, Genelia, Rishi Kapoor…whew! Of course, some stars were sorely missed at this event, namely Salmaan Khan, Kareena and Saif, Deepika and Tees Mar Khan Akshay Kumar. All in all, it was a pretty fun-filled night as BollySpice managed to cover the red carpet, the performances, the awards and of course, the after-award dinner party!
