Actor Rose Sardana, who was recently seen sharing screen space with Madhuri Dixit in Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3, is set to offer fans another special connection to her long-time idol. Her upcoming track ‘Maar Daala’ in the film Indian Institute of Zombies is a modern, western-dance reinterpretation of the legendary number that Madhuri originally immortalised.
While the original Devdas classic is known for its traditional mujra style and Madhuri’s breathtaking performance, Rose’s version brings a fresh, contemporary edge. Packed with fluid movements, sharp choreography and a distinctly western energy, the song stands as a respectful nod to the timeless original, while introducing a new visual flavour to a younger audience.
For Rose, the track is more than just a performance, it is a deeply personal tribute. Rose further shares, “Madhuri Dixit has been my ultimate inspiration for as long as I can remember. I recently had the honour of working with her in Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3, and even being on the same set felt unreal. ‘Maar Daala’ is a song I grew up watching in pure awe. Getting to perform on it now, in my own way, felt surreal. Our version is very different; more western, more experimental; but every move came from a place of respect and admiration for the magic she created in the original. This is my humble ode to her.”
