The much-anticipated sequel to Farhan Akhtar’s directorial Don – The Chase Begins Again (2006), took to the floors and began filming in the windy city of Berlin earlier this week. Along with Shah Rukh Khan, the sequel also stars Priyanka Chopra, Boman Irani, Lara Dutta and Kunal Kapoor. The crew is expected to shoot in the German capital and several other spots in and around for a 50-day schedule. This means that the King Khan would be celebrating
his 45th birthday (2nd Nov) amongst the Germans with wife Gauri, kids Aryan and Suhana and good friend Karan Johar who plans to fly in for the celebrations.
Coming back to the action happening on the Berlin sets, while everything is hush-hush about the storyline, SRK has been keeping his fans updated with regular status on micro blogging site Twitter.
“Just did an over 300 feet base jump for Don… because you all make me believe I can fly. Time to tell kids about the birds andthe bees…ha ha,” he wrote. “My jump was last shot of day. Want to thank my duplicate and action team, to do it before me for
wide shots and make me feel confident about it,” he added.
Earlier today he further went on to indulge his fans with a picture of the place. “Had done the base jump from this building…eh the tall one on the left…now feeling scared. http://twitpic.com/2xb47p“, he tweeted.
Moreover, the film is enjoying a maximum rebate from the German Government. According to sources, the rebate is 3 million Euros, as SRK is immensely popular in Germany and Europe. Germany is looking at making Bollywood its prime choice and wants
to win over tinsel towns current favorites England, Switzerland amongst others. The film is also reported to be backed up by the Berlin-Brandenburg film promotion company Medienboard, with the production amount, which the company is providing, is approximately 550,000 Euros (705,000 dollars).
