Bollywood’s boy brigade has found a mentor in none other than Hrithik Roshan. And the actor, too, seems to have readily taken Varun Dhawan, Sidharth Malhotra and Arjun Kapoor under his wing, giving them professional advice and occasional pep talks.
While Arjun successfully made his entry into the film industry with the May 2012 release Ishaqzaade, Sidharth and Varun debuted with the multi-starrer hit, Student Of The Year (SOTY) a few months after that.
Though the three actors’ second films are yet to hit the big screen, Hrithik has apparently already spotted their potential. “He is really impressed with them. He formally met Sidharth at the Marrakech Film Festival last year and just sat him down for a quick chat,” says a source.
However, what moved Sidharth the most was the fact that Hrithik made time to speak to him even though they had never met before. “He’s a really cool guy and he has these great philosophies. He told me that acting is a giving medium. It’s about letting go and not holding on to anything,” says Sidharth, clearly awed.
Hrithik also interacted with star sons Varun (David Dhawan’s son) and Arjun (Boney Kapoor’s son) during the promotions of their debut films. “I met him for the first time with Karan (Johar, director). And I just couldn’t say anything. I kept staring at him, speechless. When I met him for the second time, things were a little better,” says Varun, who considers Hrithik a great source of inspiration.
Arjun, who most recently received a call from Hrithik, adds, “In all my interactions with him, he has always been encouraging — whether it’s about my training or my acting. He actually messaged me because he liked my upcoming film, Aurangzeb’s poster.”
