Makeovers come and go, but Amisha Patel has been the most talked about! Her last release, Thoda Pyaar Thoda Magic, bombed at the box office and unlike her co-stars Saif Ali Khan and Rani Mukerji, she benefited from it and made a complete avatar change from a simple traditional Indian girl to a sex bomb. Guess that’s the advantage of doing cameos!

The actress, who became an actress despite her non-filmy background, claims she had to work twice as hard to get noticed and has now put the past on her stride, be it her break-up with Vikram Bhatt or her fall-out with a number of actresses. “For me, it’s like water under the bridge. I didn’t come from a film family. I did not know the etiquette of the industry, what you should say and what you should not. And I am outspoken. Looking back, I could have been a bit more diplomatic,” she says.

Moving to Amisha’s future plans, she says she’s very happy that she’s being offered a bunch of comic roles lately after Honeymoon Travels Pvt. Ltd. “I had a small role in it, but it helped me get some more movies in the comic genre, like Chatur Singh Two Star with Sanjay Dutt, a Pink Panther-style comedy which releases later this year. How long could I cry? I was so thrilled to rid myself of the bottle of glycerin.”

Amisha’s also planning to tie the knot with beau Kanav Puri as she says, “There is no doubt in my mind that marriage is the next step for us.” But Amisha’s looking forward to a post-marriage career, and she may also take up film production. With some interesting projects lined-up that include Neeraj Vora’s Run Bhola Run and Ajay Chandok’s Chatur Singh Two Star, life has finally shaped up for the ‘Rising’ star!
