3. Akshay Kumar – Katrina Kaif
They are probably the HIT and HOT jodi of 2000 to 2010. Kaif and Kumar have appeared opposite each other in six films. It began with Hum Ko Deewane Kar Gaye and though the not a huge hit, it established their zing! Then came the film that made their jodi land in the history books, Namstey London. About their pairing in the film, our reviewer wrote, “While Akshay slips easily into his character of a true-blue Punjabi boy, Katrina who is British herself, essays her role with conviction. After Humko Deewana Kar Gaye, the chemistry between Akshay and Katrina is again sizzling!” It was one of the biggest hits of 2007 both in India and overseas and it began a run of hits for the duo. There was Welcome in 2007 a hit, super duper hit Singh is Kinng in 2008, and 2009 was another hit year for the duo with De Dana Dan. Along with the films being a hit, many of the songs that are picturised on the stars go right to the top of the charts. We are now at the end the decade and we will see them in Farah Khan’s Tees Maar Khan. Sadly, from what we hear the two have not signed anything lately, so it will be awhile before fans can see them romancing again. Better catch Tees Maar Khan if you can!
