What is the first thing that comes to your mind when we mention Dostana? We are sure that for most of you it is the image of a well chiseled John Abraham in yellow shorts on the Miami beach! Since the movie – as well as his butt-baring sequence – proved to be a great hit with the cinegoers, there is no doubt that expectations are immense from the sequel. And those associated with the movie are leaving no stone unturned to make sure that the second part wins the hearts of the audience as well.
While director Tarun Mansukhani will soon be completing the script of the sequel, the question on everyone’s mind is whether it will have John repeating such a stint. Seems like fans would get to see ‘more’ of John than they imagined. Apparently on John’s suggestion, Karan Johar and Tarun have incorporated a sequence to show him in full monty. “This time you get to see the entire butt and frontal view too,” is what the director told a daily recently. And of course they want it done aesthetically. What’s surprising is that during the release of Dostana, in reply to a question as to whether he would ever bare it all, John had replied, “Yes, definitely. Why not? In fact, I have always chosen films and roles that have asked me to do something different. I am extremely comfortable getting into the skin of my character and bringing it alive on screen. However, it doesn’t have to be perverse. Also different characters demand you to adapt to what the script demands. Maybe you are shown nude in a torture scene, it doesn’t necessary have to be sexual.” However some time back when the media asked him about any strip acts in Dostana 2, he had quipped, “It is so cold in London. How can I take my clothes off?”
Considering the fact that Ranbir’s bare dance in Saawariya and Neil Nitin Mukesh’s monty show in Jail didn’t survive the censor’s scissors, one wonders if Johnny’s bare-all will even make it to the silver screen.
