Bollywood’s Yummy Mummy Kajol won the Mighty Mom Award from the adorable animation character Mighty Raju in Mumbai yesterday. Kajol, who has two children, daughter Nysa and son Yug, said that even though she was honored to win the award she believed that every mom is a Mighty Mom. It’s no mean task as the kids are handful she admitted.
While every parent has to keep an eye on the content the kids are exposed to on television, Kajol said that when her kids watch Chhota Bheem and Mighty Raju she doesn’t have to worry about that. “They are not just entertaining shows but they also offer a peek into our culture, mythology and roots through an interesting narrative which I appreciate,” she said.
Directed by Rajiv Chilaka, Mighty Raju – Rio Calling is an Indian animated series of films aimed at young children, focusing on the adventures of Raju, a four-year-old boy in the city of Aryanagar. The film comes from Green Gold Animation, the makers of Chhota Bheem.
The film releases on May 16. Do catch this delightful mix of “Soccer, Samba and Samosa”!
