It can be safely said that not many would have thought that Katrina Kaif would hit the jackpot and have the opportunity to be a leading heroine in veteran director Yash Chopra’s upcoming film Jab Tak Hai Jaan. She is now at the peak of her career and has recently given us the blockbuster hit Ek Tha Tiger, which has impressively crossed the 300 Crore mark at the box office. We will also be seeing her rock the screen with Aamir Khan in the action film Dhoom 3, which she is currently shooting for and should release next year. In addition, Katrina has secured a place in film history. If Mala Sinha has the title of being Yash Chopra’s first ever heroine, Katrina can relish in the fact that she will forever be referred to as Yash Chopra’s last ever heroine. Speaking about her experiences of working in Jab Tak Hai Jaan, Katrina had this to say to a leading Indian newspaper about her mentor Yash Chopra: “This movie will always be special as it is Yashji’s last direction. I truly feel lucky that he gave me a chance to be part of his rich history. Like I’ve said earlier, your CV is not complete unless you’ve worked with Yashji. He takes romance to a different level.”

Katrina also spoke about her experiences of working for the first time with romantic hero Shahrukh Khan in this film. She stated the following to the same newspaper: “Initially, it was very intimidating to work with SRK. I had to connect with him as an actor, but after a few days shooting with him, it became comfortable.” “I love to see SRK’s love for his movies. The best thing about him is that he cares about his co-star’s scenes as much as he cares for his.”

We hope that Katrina and Shahrukh will display some electrifying on-screen chemistry in Jab Tak Hai Jaan when it releases in cinemas on 13 November 2012. This is a film which surely no Bollywood fan can afford to miss!
