Kiran Abbavaram In Glossy Big-budget Action Mythological – Indraputra

[socialBuzz]

Indraputra is officially confirmed as actor Kiran Abbavaram’s upcoming pan-India mythological action-fantasy film.

The film is deeply rooted in Indian mythology, focusing on the eternal conflict between dharma (righteousness) and adharma (unrighteousness). It is envisioned as the first chapter of an expansive cinematic mythological universe.

Debutant director Srikanth Puppala, who previously honed his skills as the first assistant director on Rishab Shetty’s Kantara Chapter 1, will helm the project. The story is written by Keerthan, with a screenplay by Tanvi N. Dutta.

The film is a joint venture presented and produced by Zee Studios and Prerna Arora, alongside co-producers Keerthan and Kussum Arora.

Indraputra is currently in pre-production, with principal photography scheduled to kick off in October 2026. The film is targetting a wide theatrical release in 2027.

This ambitious franchise highlights Kiran Abbavaram’s continued career strategy of avoiding typecasting. Following a successful string of varied genre hits—including the thriller KA, the mass entertainer K-Ramp, and the romantic drama Chennai Love Story—he is stepping away from safe zones into heavy VFX and epic-scale world-building.
