, After Allu Arjun, Prabhas, and Ram Charan the trend of casting Telugu actors in pan-India films continues.

Co-produced by Keerthan and produced by Zee Studios, Umesh K Bansal and Prerna Arora, Kiran Abbavaram 15 goes on floors in October 2026. It is all set for a release in 2027.

The makers of Kiran Abbavaram’s upcoming film are making some bold calls. They believe he isn’t just another rising star, he’s set to rewrite the rules of pan-India cinema.

Says Prerna, “We believe Kiran Abbavaram has the potential to be an all-India star. We’ve cast him in a supernatural mythological where he will shine in action scenes and the drama. I firmly believe Telugu actors have the potential to take Indian cinema forward, if given the right opportunities.”

The movement from Telugu to a pan India cinema has been seamless.

Says Prerna Arora, “Over time, numerous actors, technicians, and singers have seamlessly transitioned between South and North Indian cinema, enriching both industries. For instance, in Hindi films, we’ve seen South Indian actors Vidya Balan, Hema Malini, Jaya Prada, Sridevi, Rekha, Priyamani, Anand Ranganathan, Madhavan, Dulquer Salman, Vijay Sethupathi, Nayanthara, Kamal Haasan, Rajnikanth, and many others. Similarly, South Indian singers like Shankar Mahadevan, Hariharan, Chitra, and S.P .Balasubramaniam, have made significant contributions to Hindi cinema. In South Indian cinema, actors such as Kajal Aggarwal, Raashi Khanna, Deepika Padukone, Alia Bhatt, Priyanka Chopra, Kangana Ranaut, Paresh Rawal, Sayaji Shinde, and Neil Mukesh have left their mark. Additionally, singers like Udit Narayan, and Shreya Ghoshal are immensely popular for their singing and diction in South Indian languages. This cross-cultural exchange not only broadens the horizons of artists but also fosters a deeper connection among audiences across regions.”

Revealing her plans Prerna Arora says, “Zee Studios has always been my backbone my foundation and to whom I’ll always be grateful to. I began my journey in collaboration with Zee studios through Rustom with Akshay Kumar Sir, and now, with Jatadhara — a powerful bilingual in Telugu and Hindi — our association has only grown stronger.”

Prerna is all praise for her co-producers. “As a Filmmaker and a producer, it’s very important to find your own voice and vision — something I’ve truly discovered while working with Zee Studios. It’s a great team that believes in meaningful, large-scale cinema.Mr. Umesh Bansal ( CEO – Zee Studios ) is not just a business leader but someone who deeply believes in content that resonates with a wider audience. His conviction and clarity of thought make every collaboration creatively fulfilling.”

Prerna concludes, “My next film is also with Zee Studios , an ambitious Pan-India film that will expand into a grand mythological universe. I’m truly excited for this new journey together and it’ s now under pre production . It will be on floor by April 26.”
