Lara Dutta has been roped in by Pizza Hut in the role played by Jessica Simpson elsewhere. The company is rolling out its brand across India with the help of its new Cheesy Bites pizza. “Cheesy Bites is a fun pizza and we wanted a fun campaign to promote it in India,” said Anup Jain, Marketing Manager. “Internationally the advertisement has been a big hit so we decided to give it a ‘desi twist’ with Lara.”
Lara has recently returned from Cambodia where she had a holiday visiting the ancient temples of Angkor Wat. “People there are the nicest people I have ever interacted with,” she stated, “They’re simple, honest and hard working with great regard for tourists. The most beautiful sights are the temples dating back to as late as the 9th century – a timeless wonder to behold. The sense of awe looking up at such incredible beauty is almost indescribable.”
Lara’s latest – Banda Yeh Bindaas Hai with Tabu and Boman Irani – is still tied up in legal action as the original American producers of My Cousin Vinny have claimed copyright infringement – but Lara is not worried. “There’s a stay order on Banda Yeh Bindaas Hai. I can’t comment on the matter since it’s subjudice. Ravi Chopra is a man who knows what he’s doing,” she said.
