On May 17, 2007 we witnessed the premiere of Ek Chalis Ki Last Local starring the spectaclar duo, Abhay Deol and Neha Dhupia. Hosted by Cinemax, this event was held in Versova, and many celebrities were there to promote the movie. Lets begin with the leading actors, Abhay and Neha, who both looked wonderful. I must admit that Neha Dhupia always looks stunning, but she outdid herself this time around. She was sporting a gorgeous dress, along with beautiful curls. Abhay looked like he usually does, though I wish he would have shaved! Others that attended the event were the director (Sanjay Khanduri), Ganesh Acharya, Vicki Adnani, a friend of Neha’s that was also invited and many others.
Another event held on May 17, 2007 was the launch of Lux’s Coffee Table Book which was attended by many famous celebrities. The event was held in the JV Marriot, located in Juhu, Mumbai. The “Lux- Inspiring Beauty” an exquisite Coffee Table Book was compiled/edited by Omar Qureshi. Many bollywood beauties were present for the unveiling of the book such as Priyanka Chopra, Juhi Chawla, Zeenat Aman, Sameera Reddy, and Divya Dutta. From these guests Priyanka, Juhi, and Zeenat had previously endorsed Lux. Others present for this event were: Anil Kapoor, Vipul Shah, Madhur Bhandarkar, Dilip Kumar, Saira Banu and Pankaj Udhas (who sang for the event).
Akshay Kumar was seen launching the album of Swami starring Juhi Chawla and Manjor Bajpai. This event was held in Cinemax Multiplex on May 16, 2007. Juhi Chawla looked stunning in a white suit and gorgeous earrings. Akshay Kumar looked strictly okay, he should have worn a tux/suit or something a bit more professional to a music launch. The leading stars, Juhi and Manoj, were seen in the event along with the music directors Nitin Arora and Sony Chandy. Also present were: Satish Kaushik, Ganesh Acharya (debutant director of the movie), Manider, Neha, David Dhawan, Abbas Mustan and Anil Sharma.
On Tuesday, May 15, 2007 the cast and crew of Wednesday celebrated the completion of the movie. This low-key event was held in Bohemian, Juhu and many people that were part of the film joined in the celebrations. Jimmy Shergill, Deepal Shaw and Anupam Kher, who are part of the cast, were present and for the first time Deepal Shaw looked quite nice. She wore a simple black dress with matching earrings and it seemed as though she didn’t have too much make-up on. Anupam Kher and Jimmy Shergill looked good as well, though Jimmy did look a bit tired. Others that attended the event were: Neeraj Pandey, Anjum Rizvi and many others.
