Barely had BollySpice reported that Minissha Lamba had walked out of the Karan Johar Production Jihaad because she refused to do some possible intimate scenes with co-star Vivek Oberoi, Lamba has come out and clarified her reasons for leaving the upcoming Rensil D’Silva directed feature. In fact, her grounds for opting out of the film were simply because she had passport issues, “The pages on my passport had been used up and I had sent it for renewal. It took so long, that there wasn’t much time for me to leave for New York to shoot,” she clarifies. Additionally, she also went to state that the film has no intimate scenes, “Jihaad has no intimate scenes to begin with. I would never back out of a film at the last moment.” She has been replaced by Dia Mirza who has happily stepped in to replace Lamba.
Director Rensil D’Silva too was shocked at the rumors regarding Lamba’s replacement in the film, “I don’t know who has been circulating such rumors. There are no intimate scenes in my film. Mine is a serious film and such rumors are distracting.” The film is currently being shot in New York and is slated for an end of year release. The cast, after being changed for the nth time, has finally come down to Saif Ali Khan, Kareena Kapoor, Vivek Oberoi and now Dia Mirza.
