Riding high on the super success of Dabangg, Salman Khan is re-commanding his position in Bollywood and his fans have yet another reason to be ecstatic. News reports confirm that Salman Khan starrer My Love Story, a remake of the Malayalam superhit Bodyguard, has found its lead heroine. The pre-production is in place and shooting starts by end of the year.
While Katrina Kaif was initially roped in to star in the project opposite Salman, the latest reports state that Kareena Kapoor has been finalized as the leading lady. Like in most cases, dates are being cited as the reason for Katrina not being part of the film. Although Kareena and Salman’s last pairing in “Main Aurr Mrs Khanna’ failed to perform at the box office, here’s hoping they can revive their on-screen pairing.
The film is produced by Atul Agnihotri, and the original Bodyguard director Siddique will be donning the director’s cap for this one as well. The films music score will be by Pritam, while T-series have bought the audio rights.
Salman’s last two hits, Wanted in 2009 and Dabangg in 2010, released during EID. The two films worked wonders for Salman’s career. My Love Story is also looking at an EID release in 2011. Can Salman complete a hattrick? We’ll have to wait and see.
