Rohan Sippy’s upcoming movie, Nautanki Saala had its music launch recently, and true to the theme of the film had the launch in full dramebaaz and nautanki style. Present were the main starcast – Ayushmann Khurrana, Kunal Roy Kapur, Pooja Salvi, Evelyn Sharma and Gaelyn Mandonca – along with director Rohan Sippy, singers Rashid Khan and Neeti Mohan, composer Rochak Kohli, lyricist Gurpreet Saini and T-Series Honcho Bhushan Kumar.
Ayushmann and Kunal made an entrance in a mini train to the popular track ‘Dramebaaz’ along with a host of clowns. Khurrana, who has already lent his voice to Pani Da Rang from Vicky Donor, will be singing two tracks in this movie as well. Along with Neeti Mohan, Ayushmann sang to Saddi Galli and Mera Mann much to the delight of the audience. Not only that, some lucky girls got to dance to the track Dhak Dhak with the lead actors. The music was then launched with the CDs being brought by ‘Hanuman’ himself!
Talking about the songs Ayushmann said, “Saddi Galli and Mera Mann are my personal favourites because they are very melodious and in fact easy to sing also. So it will have a great connect with the audience. The best part about these songs is that they are very hummable.” Roahn Sippy said, “Bhushan Kumar and me felt that it was a very apt song as there is a romantic confusion in the film. We felt it was a great idea as we have all grown up with the song. Mikey
McCleary has reinvented the song completely so it was a great experience. The film has great songs rendered wonderfully by the singers and I am sure they will be very popular.” Bhushan added, “We had earlier recorded some other song for the situation but then eventually we felt that Dhak Dhak suited the situation very well. It’s composed very well by Mikey and it is a superb track.”
The movie will release on 12th April.
