Speculations are rife that Shahrukh will be producing the sequel to Ra.One, which will be a bigger and better version of the original film. Kareena Kapoor played the female lead in part one and was part of the legendary songs of the decade, ‘Chammak Challo’. Rumour mills were abuzz with the fact that Shahrukh was not very pleased with Kareena for not giving enough time to the promotional events for the movie as she was busy with Bodyguard co-starring Salman and shuttling her shooting schedule between Talaash opposite Aamir and Agent Vinod opposite Saif.
Kareena has been the only actress of recent times to have churned out major projects with the three Khans. She has categorically stated that she wants to be part of commercial cinema and star in big productions. But Kareena is now not too keen to be onboard for the planned sequel. There is a very common practice in Bollywood to not repeat the leading lady for the sequels. Work on the script for the sequel has already begun.
Kareena will be next seen in Karan Johar’s Ek Main aur Ekk Tu opposite Imran Khan. The shooting for this film was much delayed as Kareena was busy wrapping up Ra.One.
