Ekta Kapoor’s upcoming movie on paranormal behavior, Ragini MMS, saw its music launch yesterday (19th April) at Planet M, Mumbai. The lead pair of the film – Kainaz Motivala and Raj Kumar Yadav – were present along with yesteryear superstar Jeetendra and producer daughter Ekta Kapoor. The launch started with live performances of the movie soundtrack by Faizan Hussain and Agnel Roman which was well appreciated by the crowd gathered. Keeping the spooky-scary nature of the movie in mind, the launch of the music saw an unexpected black out after which the trailer of the movie along with the song promo of Raat Akeli Hai was shown. Jeetendra was especially happy that a song from his time was chosen to be a part of this film. This song has the original vocals of Asha Bhosale and music by S.D.Burman. Ekta insisted on the song not being remixed as she is against any type of tampering with original songs (she refused to comment on recent remixes like Dum Maaro Dum).
A hybrid of fact and fiction, Ragini MMS is a sensuous paranormal film, shot as if in real time where a couple’s dirty weekend soon turns into something that is beyond the realm of human understanding…something metaphysical….something paranormal. Music is composed by Shamir Tandon and Faizan-Agnel.
