Kohlie Entertainment’s latest film Aisa Yeh Jahaan has many impactful messages for everyone. It is the story of immigrants from a small town in Assam to the bustling life in Mumbai. With an excellent cast and strong storyline, the film delves into the demanding urban lifestyle, racial discrimination and forceful labour. Aisa Yeh Jahaan released on Friday 24 July, 2015 and here are reasons why it is a must watch:


1. Aisa Yeh Jahaan is a film about the North-East: Very few films in Bollywood are set against such a backdrop or are based on characters from the North-East. The film revolves around the lives of an Assamese family – Rajib, his wife Ananya, their daughter Kuhi and the domestic help Pakhi, living in Mumbai


2. Kymsleen Kohlie’s brilliant performance in Aisa Yeh Jahaan: Debutant Kymsleen Kohlie portrays the role of Pakhi, a domestic help who has bigger dreams. She tries to bring solace to her new life in the city through small nuances. Kymsleen translates the innocence of the character very well


3. Brilliant portrayal of a young middle class couple: Dr. Palash Sen and Ira Dubey play the lead characters, as a typical middle – class couple. Their relationship is ruled by the demands of the city as they find their combat the commotion


4. Nalia Kai from ‘Aisa Yeh Jahaan’: Actor Yashpal Sharma is the lovable Nalia Kai who treats little Kuhi like his own daughter. The talented actor steals hearts with his impressive performance as the humble and sweet Nalia Kai


5. Palash Sen’s comeback movie: This film is the actor’s comeback after 13 years. Palash Sen’s character is a hard working man who left his heart in Assam


6. Aisa Yeh Jahaan highlights many relevant issues: It showcases the stark reality that migrants face every day in the form of discrimination, child labour and cultural differences. The film also talks about family, traditions and obstacles one faces while living away from their hometown
