Saif Ali Khan has said that he made a big mistake doing Sajid Khan’s Humshakals and described it as ‘a film without a script’. The 43 year old actor made the revelation to a leading Indian newspaper and said that he did not enjoy a single day on set whilst shooting for the film. “Looking back, I can see today that I didn’t enjoy a single minute spent on the Humshakals set.I only enjoyed Sajid and Riteish (Deshmukh)’s company, but that was when we weren’t shooting. I won’t blame anybody but myself for this.”
Saif also said that when he saw the final cut of the film, he questioned himself as to why he chose to sign up to a disaster of a film like Humshakals. “While watching it, I asked myself what I was doing in it. I knew I had let my fans down and underestimated their intelligence. The film didn’t have a script a script as such; it was all there in Sajid’s mind. I did whatever he asked me to.”
Humshakals was released last month to an influx of criticism from film critics who trashed the film’s script and mind-numbing content. However, it still did modestly well at the box office having collected around RS. 56 Crores by the end of its run.
