Sonakshi Sinha, Vidya Balan, Rani Mukerji and Kareena Kapoor are but just a few of the celebrities who have been under the limelight for their weight, and Tezz actress Sameera Reddy seems to like this trend of curvy women!

At a recent event, about the curvy trend Reddy stated, “I think it is good because we put so much pressure on ourselves to lose weight. But thank god, Rani Mukerji, Vidya Balan, these actresses are carrying those ‘buttery-soft’ bodies which are really making the Indian women come back.”

Reddy features in a new item song for the forthcoming Prakash Jha film, Chakravyuh and previously did item song ‘Isak Se Mitha’ from the multi-starrer Aakrosh.

She further adds, “So, I am very happy that this trend has come back and I am also trying to push that trend with my song. Today, just for one song people stick to workouts, diets and do extra preparations. But there is nothing of this sort in this song. I came from Singapore five days before the song was to be shot and went to Bhopal and did it.”

What does she think of item numbers? Can it carry a film? “I think that today even for certain films, song has become so big that it can provide an opening to the film. I don’t say that an item number can carry the film, but definitely it can give it an opening.”

Chakravyuh stars Arjun Rampal and Abhay Deol in lead roles and Om Puri, Manoj Bajpayee, Esha Gupta and Kabir Bedi in supporting roles. It releases on the 24thof October – keep checking back to BollySpice for more info on Chakravyuh and other new releases!
